Ask five fishermen how to catch more fish, tuna and get five different answers. Some may be somewhat effective, while others are simply a waste of yout time. Here are some tuna fishing techniques that are guaranteed to help you catch more tuna.

If you are fishing for tuna some techniques were more effective than others. Tuna generally bite best in the early light cycle. From my experience, fishing in the morning or afternoon tends work better. Some days the first bite, a few days later, they bite. It goes without saying that you should never leave fish to find fish. Even if only captures Mahi Mahi, not leave the area until you have entered your hunger, or looking for other challenges.

Trolling for tuna works very well. Typically using multiple decoys, spread over at least twenty feet works well separated. I like tuna with a base of "W Plan" which is actually 2 lines attached each box of length, 2 shorter lines and a long flat line with a decoy machine right of the Greens in the center. Keep the green machine, well back decoy others.

If you fish for squid bars make sure they are in a diamond shape. Diamond-shaped squid bars is very similar to training schools bait fish to protect themselves. When all else fails, search for dolphins, whales and sharks. Large schools of tuna often be found by following these natural hunters. In addition, there is always a good idea to watch the birds dive, as it is often a sign of huge schools of bait fish.

The use of these techniques will help you catch more bluefin tuna.
